For Outdoor Display:

Important Considerations for Outdoor Hanging

  • Powder-Coating Protection: All our metal art is powder-coated to withstand outdoor elements and prevent rust. However, proper hanging and occasional cleaning can extend the lifespan of the piece outdoors.
  • Use Weather-Resistant Hardware: Make sure to use hardware that is rust-resistant or designed for outdoor use.

1. Exterior Command Strips (For Smaller Pieces)

  • Ideal for: Pieces sized 12 to 14 inches.
  • What to Buy: Command™ Outdoor Picture Hanging Strips (waterproof, UV-resistant).
  • Where to Find It: Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, or on Amazon.
  • How to Use: Follow the same steps as the indoor version, ensuring you place the piece on a clean, smooth outdoor surface.

2. Outdoor Screws and Wall Anchors

  • Ideal for: Pieces sized 18 to 36 inches.
  • What to Buy: Rust-resistant screws and wall anchors made for outdoor use (stainless steel or coated screws).
  • Where to Find It: Home Depot, Lowe’s, or hardware stores.
  • How to Use: Secure the screws or anchors into an exterior surface (wood, brick, or stone) through the cut-out areas. Use washers to prevent damage to the artwork.

3. Heavy-Duty French Cleat System

  • Ideal for: Larger pieces (24 to 36 inches).
  • What to Buy: Outdoor-rated French Cleat Systems (stainless steel or rust-resistant).
  • Where to Find It: Home Depot, Lowe's, or online.
  • How to Use: Install the cleat system using outdoor-rated screws and anchors. This method is ideal for securely mounting large pieces on exterior walls.

General Tips:

  • Wall Types: For drywall, use wall anchors to ensure the piece is securely mounted. For brick or stone walls, make sure to use masonry screws and proper anchors.
  • Cleaning Your Art: For outdoor pieces, clean with a damp cloth and mild soap once a season to prevent dirt buildup.
  • Storage: If you live in an area with harsh winters or high humidity, consider bringing your art indoors during extreme weather to preserve its finish.
